  • August 2021: Dr. Yufei Liu, Dr. Jian He, and their collegues from Clemson University and University of South Carolina's coinvention, Graphene Ceramic Composite as Replacement of Metal Ceramic Cermet for Hydrogen Separation Membranes (USC 1277), is granted a US Patent. Congratulations to them both!

  • July 2021: Fanchen is slected by the International Thermoelectric Society to receive a Graduate Student Award (a cash prize of $500 and a descriptive certificate) as a runner-up for the 2021 Holdsmid Award for Excellence in Thermoelectrics by a Graduate Student. Congratulations to Fanchen!

  • May 2019: Dr. Aijuan (Alyssa) Zhang from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China joined Dr. He's group as a postdoctoral associate. Her expertise is wet chemistry synthesis and thermoelectric study of nanostructural materials.

  • May 2019: Fanchen Meng gave a seminar talk on "effects of electron-phonon interactions on carrier mobility" at Wuhan University of Technology.
